New year, new me, but this post is all about the events I was lucky enough to participate in…but forgot to post about last year because I’m an idiot.
THE CULTURE PROJECT’S WOMEN CENTER STAGE FESTIVAL
This year’s festival invited 14 directors to create pieces that used theatre in innovative ways to address the issues of immigration, presidential impeachment, criminal justice reform, and racism in our communities and nation.
“2 Minutes Hate” was a collaborative movement piece choreographed by my good friend and former roommate, Carmen Caceres, based on George Orwell’s 1984. I collaborated with Devin Southard to create a video piece and an on-stage camera set-up to serve as “Big Brother.” ,
FACE FOR RADIO
Well golly, I’ve gone and got myself on a house sketch team at the People’s Improv Theater here in NYC. This team of lovely hooligans plus my hairy self, Face For Radio, performs monthly at the PIT.
