Sriya Sarkar

Comedian, Filmmaker, Digital Media-ite

Sriya Sarkar can be found at the intersection of comedy, political issues, and digital media (just off of I-95). A filmmaker and comedian, she recently received her Master's in Integrated Digital Media from NYU's Polytechnic School of Engineering.

The smorgasbord of her work lives here.

Got some time to kill? Feel free to check out a smattering of my film and video work below:

"This is What Young People Need" - the final video in a series for the Center for K12 STEM Education covering their summer workshops for NYC public school students. I headed the videography team by coordinating shoots and interviews, setting production best practices, editing, and creating graphics.

An adaptation of Sonnet 53 I directed for the New York Shakespeare Exchange's Sonnet Project. Check out the Sonnet's page here.

A scene from Harold Pinter's play, 'Betrayal,' for the BBC Academy's single camera directing course, part of NYU Tisch London's selection-based BBC program.

I shot this episode of "The Honking Dead," a parody of AMC's "The Walking Dead,"  about a group of zombie saxophonists. Produced by General Conquistador, written and directed by Irene Carroll.

Another episode of "The Honking Dead" I shot.

My undergrad NYU thesis film, "Rocket Man." More info can be found here.
